AFC Energy Plc. is committed to operating in a safe, effective and resourceful manner, which minimises the impact of our operations on the environment. This commitment encompasses our vision to ensure the protection of the environment, prevention of pollution and the sustainable use of resources and materials in our operations. It is our aim to ensure that due consideration is given to environmental and sustainability matters arising from our activities and have taken a proactive role to achieving this objective by establishing an Environmental Management System (in accordance with ISO 14001:2015) that is proportionate to the nature, scale and potential environmental effects of our operations.

To support this, AFC Energy will:

•comply with all applicable environmental legislation, codes of practice or other requirements
to which we subscribe;

•pursue continuous improvement of the Environmental Management System to enhance our environmental performance, by setting appropriate (and measurable) objectives;

•educate train and motivate employees to carry out operational activities in an environmentally responsible manner;

•maximise conservation of natural resources (as far as is reasonably practicable) by promoting:
               efficient use of resources, energy and fuel throughout the company's operations; and
               waste minimisation by recycling or finding alternative uses of by-products where possible.

•dispose of waste efficiently and responsibly;

•ensure sustainable arrangements for the use, handling, storage and transport of articles and substances;

•seek to influence in a positive manner suppliers, customers and other interested parties whose services may also have an impact on the environment; and

•provide adequate resources and support to achieve our environmental management objectives.

Senior management are responsible, both individually and collectively for the development and implementation of this Environmental Policy within the organisation.

This Policy will be reviewed periodically (at least every three years and/or following a change to operational practices that may affect the Policy objectives) to ensure that it remains relevant and appropriate to the organisation.

It is the responsibility of all employees and subcontractors to comply with this Policy at all times. The Policy will be communicated to all persons working under the control of the organisation and will be made available to interested parties on request.
